Edom Enmity in the World

Edom and the heritage of Jacob are in the crosshairs today of our study. In this is we look at Edom’s fall as a result of her pride. But, Edom had a bad attitude; it was a root of bitterness and hate. The Enmity Edom, as it became hurt Edom more than Judah. Both Edom and Judah were brethren with a solid heritage in Jacob, a Patriarch of Israel. Yet Edom could not refrain herself from defilement in this Enmity.

Edom gives us a lesson to learn oh people. “Although not all nations have the same enmity of Edom, the seed of bitterness and the ways of men and nations are the same.” Today we will look at “Enmity” and it’s relation to us today. This is a lesson from the history of those who have gone before us. Edom learned a lesson too late and Judah learned a lesson not soon to forget. Meanwhile, the fires of Judgment over the nations and the church smolder as the Edom Enmity is forgotten. Centuries of lukewarmness has all but covered over the Enmity. Yet Enmity and Edom are bedfellows in the lessons of both history and the bible.

Oba 1:10- For thy [Edom] violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee [Edom], and thou [Edom] shalt be cut off for ever.
Jas 4:4- Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of
the world is the enemy of God.

•Obadiah 1:1-21 picks up this “being despised and hated” From one Brother to another; Esau and Jacob were re-united, however, the enmity passed through, the “sins of the father passing down to the children.”

•This became so bad that Esau, Edom is told by Obadiah for Example of judgment upon Edom for the enmity and hatred against Brother Jacob.

•Edom is compared to the heathen who are wicked and do not know God!

Finding the LORD God of Jacob

Finding the LORD God of Jacob. Tonight we follow the Line of heritage through the name of God, namely; Yahweh, Jehovah and God, Elohim to the Lord Jesus Christ in Revelation. The LORD God of Jacob takes you through the intense struggles of this patriarch. We cover his “being a supplanter and deceiving” time of his life. Even here the LORD works in Jacobs’s life and continues to bring the promise of Abraham to him. The faithfulness of the LORD amidst the ways of Jacob is a call to us today. This LORD who is holy and righteous, also is merciful and gives us grace. The LORD will work in our lives if we let him. The LORD does not throw us out with our sins. But the LORD works to teach us, guide us, and cleanse us. If we let the LORD, and don’t rebel, then the story of Jacob can have deep meaning for us today. This is the same LORD today as he was then, the LORD changes not. Thank God for hope today. The story of Jacob and the LORD God is full of heritage, faith, and Elohim working in and with Jacob to guide and bless.

Isa 58:14- Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Mic_7:18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
1Pe 5:3- Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
1Pe 5:4- And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

The heritage of Jacob is written, and in our studies in torah we have been covering Jacob. Our goal is to understand the LORD of Jacob, who was the one called Yahweh, Jehovah and how does he relate to us today!It is also to understand the LORD God Elohim of Jacob!

Be filled with Thanksgiving and give Thankfulness unto the Lord of Lords

Psa_69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving, i.e. thankfulness.
Psa_95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,i.e. thankfulness and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Psa_116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving,i.e. thankfulness and will call upon the name of the LORD.

America and Thankfulness before the Lord

Thankfulness should prevail in America who has been Blessed. Yet America in her blessings said “by my own hand have I gotten this”. Thankfulness and judgment, reflections of the Watchman, The blessing upon America, the judgment to come, and the hope we have in the Lord God. While many may find themselves in distress, we are not of those. We may be persecuted, face troubles, and go through Jacobs trouble, yet we are not alone and have many reasons to be filled with Thankfulness this thanksgiving and Bless the Lord!

Vineyard of the Lord

The Lords Vineyard was let out to a vinedresser to take care off so that the fruits thereof can be nurtured and then harvested. However these vinedressers sought to make it their own Vineyard. They have replaced the nurturing and caring of this Vineyard in their own way. They sought to take it for themselves. The Example of the parable of the Vineyard of the Lord can be found in both tanakh and the brit chadesh. Our Lord gave this Parable and we find Isaiah speaking of it.

In both cases the Lord tells us that the vinedresser or husbandman wanted to take it for him. So he beat the servant of the Lord who came to collect the due from the Vineyard. This reflects the rejection of the Prophets who came to tell Israel’s leaders to repent, that the very Vineyard they were taking care of was the Lords. Nevertheless the Vineyard of the Lord was eventually plowed under in judgment.

When our Lord and Messiach came, he gave the same parable. The Vineyard was taken over by those who rejected the stone. This being “the stone which the builders rejected is become head of the corner.”

So too, the church, it’s leadership, and offices must understand they will know, the Vineyard today is till the Vineyard of the Lord. Our Lord Yeshua, Jesus said he is the Vine, we are the branches and the father today prunes it to make it produce more. Yet the Vineyard of the Lord can be reflected in those who belong to the Lord.

Fruits of the Vineyard belong to the Lord. Warning to the church as with Israel: This is not your vineyard, it is the Lords!

2Ch 36:14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
2Ch 36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
2Ch 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

Lord God Prophecy or Commandment

The Lord God and the choice of Men in the last days is tonight’s show. While men and nations move conveniently on in their lives, so too, the Lord God continues to reign. It is the Lord God which rules and reigns in the nations of men. The sun comes up each morning at the behest of the Lord God. The cycles of nature, moons, stars, planets, and life itself consists and moves from the very being of the Lord God. Yet the men of nations ignore or reject this Lord God. While yet there are many who follow the same Lord God. It is amazing that in the context of man’s rebellion the love of the Lord God for his creation never wanes. Yet, his hand of judgment comes.

For those in the nations of men today prophecy of the Lord God of these times commands the very essence of all peoples. Though many do not realize it, in these last days Prophecy long ago called out by the Lord God himself is actually ruling the nations. As well, it is the commandment and prophecy of the Lord God that rises to meet head-on destiny of men in the day of days. Know this; you have a choice from the foundation of the world. The Lord God has given you that. Make sure you know the choices and make the determination well, for the Lord God will hold you to your decision.

It is the choice of men to decide. Will it be the Lord God or Mammon, Light or Darkness! These choices have been with men, women, nations, kings, and peoples over the millenia. In these last days, the choice is even more stark. It is you and your choice, “for the Love of the Lord God.”

1Pe_2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Jn_1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Mat_6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
