Prophetic No Turning back!
In the early morning hours, as the sun was not up, the highlights of the early morning dawn were greys, purples, oranges, and blues In the early morning hours, songs filled the air, music, no words, Yet amidst the tunes, came back the familar words of long ago The hymns of a past who speak of a bright future
Yet, trouble surrounds us, Yet, more trouble comes Yet, there is no turning back For I have decided to follow the Lord!
Folk Melody from India!
“This folk song originated among the Garo Indians, one of the hill tribes in India. The Garo tribe lives in an area that is now the state of Meghalaya, but was until 1970 the state of Assam. The northern part of Meghalaya borders on the Himalayan Mountain range. The earliest appearance of the hymn in the United States seems to have been in Choice Light and Life, a 1950 publication of the Free Methodist Church (Winona Lake, Ind.), compiled by LeRoy M. Lowell.” [source: tben.wordpress.com/2008/08/21/lyrics-of-i-have-decided-to-follow-jesus/]
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.
Though I may wonder, I still will follow;
Though I may wonder, I still will follow;
Though I may wonder, I still will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.
My cross I’ll carry, Till I see Jesus;
My cross I’ll carry Till I see Jesus, :
My cross I’ll carry Till I see Jesus,
No turning back, No turning back.
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
No turning back, no turning back.

Knowing God, not by the flesh, through the Spirit
Ex. Georg Cantor, wasn’t interested in God whose purpose was redeemption and salvation

He was interested in the God of creation. He quotes that which is hidden will be brought into light.
He believed God called him to mathematics. He studied eternity, known as the greatest mathematician, he died alone in a mental institution, insane.
Whatever he found, it drove him mad!
Psa 33:1-22
The LORD, Yahweh, Adonai, our Father and God
(1) Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
(2) Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
(3) Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
(4) For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
(5) He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
(6) By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
(7) He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
(8) Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
The Nations of them that are saved Oh God!
(9) For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
(10) The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
(11) The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
(12) Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Not trusting in the arm of the flesh!
(13) The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
(14) From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
(15) He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
(16) There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
(17) An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
Eye LORD upon those:
- That fear him,
- Upon them that hope in his mercy
- To save their soul from death
- To keep them alive in famine
(18) Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
(19) To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
(20) Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
(21) For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
(22) Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
