Consecrated unto the Lord God
Consecrated a word when I use it in the context of today’s Torah is a maw-lay’, to fill or be full of. To accomplish, confirm, plus consecrate. To be at an end, in other words, Consecrated, past tense means the action of confirming or accomplish something is to the full. As with Aaron and his son as Priests, they were anointed and Consecrated to be in that office. But along with this word is another Hebrew word descriptor, yawd used for Consecrated here. This word indicates power, means, and direction. Those who are Consecrated are done so by the direction and the office and authority of the Adonai. When our Lord came to die on the cross, he did so, fully Consecrated to fulfill the office, with full anointing and authority of the Father.
Consecrated by a new and living way
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God; Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
So too, all that come to the Lord are entered into this by the blood of Jesus. However, you can be saved and in that salvation we find a word similar to Consecrated that is sanctified. We can come to the Father in Jesus Name. We can come, we can walk, and do all as believers, but again, there are offices that require a special anointing, a Consecrated office for a Consecrated person, whom is put in that office by Adonai, our Father. In today’s Torah we talk of this Consecrated people whom Adonai brought forth from Egypt. Today we see the offerings, laws of jealousies, law of the nazrite vow, and more. We see the beginning of Israel and her Consecrated call with the Tabernacle and Moses. Yet we move forward to Judges where a Consecrated Israel is no more, she did evil in the Adonai’s eyes and is given into their enemies for 40 years until the judgment is finished . Then Adonai sends forth a deliver that is a Nazarite, follows the law of the Nazarite vow and is set to deliver Israel. His name is Samson and he is Consecrated for that office.
