Keeping Holiness before the Strength of Israel-Torah-03-12-11

Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you”

Keeping Holiness before the Strength of Israel, this was the goal. The people in themselves could not do this. Today we look at a portion from Leviticus as we start the book of the law, here we start in the sacrifices and the Holiness of the L-rd. This starts a portion of the Torah where we read the Priests following the law regarding sacrifices. Among this we find that Holiness before the L-rd was important even if a person who sinned through ignorance, yet he was to have the Blood of an unblemished Bullock [animal] offered for the sin offering. It was here that the Holiness of the L-rd required such sacrifices even for the common person who was to make an atonement for their sins. Even if that sin was done through ignorance. Yearly the High priest would enter the Holy of Holies to offer up the atonement , but today through our L-rd, our High Priest, the Holiness of the L-rd and our Salvation rests upon the Passover Lamb and the blood applied on our behalf.

But today we also learned of the dealings of Prophet Samuel with King Saul. Here the lesson is that of a person even the King himself must deal with the Holiness of G-d. We see the anointed King Saul, newly appointed fall immediately. He learned the lesson the hard way before the Holiness of the L-rd. That is something the believer today has to know, “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.” This rebellion is directed at the King who rebelled as the L-rds commands and would not do them. Much like many today!

Thank G-d today you and I can be, ought to be sanctified by the blood and body of the Passover Lamb, the Son of G-d. It is here that the blood of bulls, goats, cannot take away sins. The covenant in the Torah, and the blood applied by the High priest of animal blood to cover the sins, was not permanent. It did make atonement, but not removed. Today, through the High Priest, Yeshua Ha Massiach, Jesus Christ, we have our sins atoned for by the Passover Lamb, the Son of G-d. They are removed that is, our sins, as far as the east is from the west. Thus the Holiness of the L-rd G-d is met and the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in the Passover Lamb. But still today there is a warning, that those who are Sinning Wilfully, There remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. This is a point that many churches ignore and many pastors don’t preach. Wake up, understand the Holiness of the L-rd will be found in all he does. We as his children must be holy before Him who is Holy.

The Torah:

Blood of unblemished Bullock for Sin offering, those who sinned through ignorance

Leviticus 4:1 ¶And the L-RD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the L-RD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: 3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the L-RD for a sin offering. 4 And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the L-RD; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock’s head, and kill the bullock before the L-RD. 5 And the priest that is anointed shall take of the bullock’s blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation: 6 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the L-RD, before the vail of the sanctuary

Leviticus 4:27 ¶And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; 28 Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. 29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. 30 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar. 31 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him. 32 And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish

Because thou hast rejected the word of the L-RD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Sinning Wilfully, There remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of G-d, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the L-rd. And again, The L-rd shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living G-d.
