Priest Holiness Unto the L-RD-Torah 02-12-11
- For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.-Heb 7:17
We find Moses being told by the L-rd to speak to all who are “wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom”. Moses would see that these people would make the garments for the priesthood, to consecrate him. Specially made, according to the Word of the L-rd. We find here a “wisdom” given by the L-rd for a special purpose.
Moreover, the whole of the purpose of the Priests office was to stand in for the Children of Israel unto the L-rd, and for the Priest to minister to the L-rd. Here is the “holiness unto the L-rd. In these cases, he was directly before the Lord, in the anointing and holy presence of the L-rd. A place where he would die if he did not follow precisely what he was to do and how he was to do it. He could not just enter when he felt like it, he could not bring strange incense, fire, sacrifices, ect before the L-rd in this place. Whole of the situation was holiness before a holy G-d.
We find, moreover, in the reading today that Aaron was to make an atonement, once in a year with the blood of the sin offering. Throughout all their generations they were to have the priest stand before the L-rd and make atonement for Israel once a year. All of this is a shadow of the coming Priesthood of the L-rd, Yeshua, who Hebrews 7;14 said “sprang out of Juda.” This priest, our L-rd who was not according to levitical priesthood, became a eternal priest unto G-d for us. A Priest who died on the cross for our sins as the Passover Lamb. This is the new testament, and the priest, even our L-rd is before our G-d and Father, ever living to make intercession for the saints. Even our Savior, was Holiness unto the L-rd our G-d, and to those who would, come and take freely of this everlasting life.

4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

Priests Office: HOLINESS TO THE L-RD
Exodus 28:35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the L-RD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE L-RD.
37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
38 And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the L-RD.
No strange incense, fire but make atonement Once in a year
Exodus 30:8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the L-RD throughout your generations.
9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.
10 And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the L-RD.

16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto G-d.
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The L-rd sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Hebrews 8:1 ¶Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the L-rd pitched, and not man.
