Torah-01-01-11-Confrontation Moses and Pharaoh
“behold, we look through a glass darkly at the things to come, yet we see words of the past giving us picture of those things to come”
There was no such conflict as the one between Moses and Pharaoh. Of course, Pharaoh was the essence of the pagan god Ra, in whom, Pharaoh was the so called god in the flesh. All of Egypt looked to him, for he had power, wealth, and might. Yet, as Moses came to this powerful man, he did so in the name of Jehovah G-d, the True and living G-d. One whom would reveal to the Egyptians the real G-d, the one who would with might bring the Children of Israel out of bondage and keep the covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; not to mention their offspring, the children of Israel, the Hebrews.
- Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

We find in this section today,the power and signs of the darkness presented by Magicians who duplicated signs Moses did. That is for awhile, anyway. We find Goshen, a type of safety for the children of G-d. One place where they would find safety while all the world around them faced G-ds judgments. We find almighty power in judgments, and many things remind us of the tribulation to come, when this G-d will bring forth similar judgments upon the Anti Christ kingdom.

G-d’s power revealed, the cause he used Pharaoh, and those who ‘feared the word of the L-rd!
Exodus 9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20 He that feared the word of the L-RD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 And he that regarded not the word of the L-RD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

Goshen, G-d’s safety net for those who trust in him!
Exodus 8:22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the L-RD in the midst of the earth.
Exodus 9:26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of G-d;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of G-d through the Spirit.
