We have an ‘inheritance’ one that today gives us ‘spiritual’ power and deliverance, from darkness to light, that brings us to God, through faith. A totality of power, spiritual power to enable us to walk in him today. This spiritual power affects the physical realm where we live.

This inheritance also points to our kingdom with the LORD. This too, is an ‘inheritance’ and this will be on the earth! It will be a kingdom ruled by our LORD Jesus Christ and shall never be moved!

This is about that kingdom! The one which shall never be moved!

Isaiah 62:1
¶For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Isaiah 62:2
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Isaiah 62:3
Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Isaiah 62:4 ‘ Zion, Jerusalem shall be called Beulah ‘married’ thy land shall be married! Hephzibah ‘the LORD deligheth in thee’!
Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

Isaiah 62:5
For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

Isaiah 62:6
¶I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

Isaiah 62:7
And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Isaiah 62:8
The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

Isaiah 62:9
But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

Isaiah 62:12 ‘The holy people, the redeemed of the LORD’, Zion shall be called ’sought out, a city not forsaken’!
And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

‘The angel of his presence’ Is 63:9
Isaiah 63:9  In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
10  But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
11  Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?

The LORD to Moses:
14  And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Moses to the LORD:
15  And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
16  For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
17  And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18  And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
20  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21  And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

Exodus 34:6  And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Intro:

As believers today we have an ‘inheritance’, one through Christ Jesus:

Primarily inheritance today is used as:
Hereditary succession to a title or an office or property
That which is inherited; a title or property or estate that passes by law to the heir on the death of the owner

For the believer, we have such an inheritance through Christ Jesus! It represents for us today a ‘spiritual kingdom’, that will become the fulness of our hope, a literal kingdom that cannot be moved, the Eternal reign of our God and our Christ on earth.

For us ‘inheritance’ is found 239 times in 203 verses in the bible! Inheritance was a primary portion of the life of those who sought the Lord God. We all live, we all die, we all have received some form of ‘inheritance’ either physical, spiritual, or monetary etc. It forms an important part of American and western culture. But this kind of inheritance passes away! There is another one through our Lord that does not pass away, in fact it gets better the closer we come to death! For in death is life, and in this life after death, we find the fulfilment of all God has promised us!

Pauls own testimony of how he met the Lord Jesus gives us a glimpse of purpose and inheritance in the message that he was to bring to the gentiles!
Acts 26:14
And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Acts 26:15
And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
Acts 26:16
But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Acts 26:17
Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

Acts 26:18  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

—>The inheritance comes from God who sanctifies those who have faith in Jesus Christ.
—>This faith in our Lord ‘opens their eyes’
—>This faith in our Lord ‘turns them from darkness to light’
—>This turns them from the power of Satan to God
—>It enables them to receive forgiveness of sins
—>It brings them an inheritance of the ‘saints in light’

Colossians 1:12  ¶Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

The ‘inheritance of the saints in Light’!
-You receive it of the Lord
-You receive it because you serve the Lord Christ
-It is incorruptible, undefiled, fades not, reserved in heaven for you
-It is reserved for those who are in the LORD, serving him, and not whoremongers, unclean, covetous, idolater, ect!

Colossians 3:24  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

1 Peter 1:4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Ephesians 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

It is of this inheritance that Jacob spoke to his children, in particular he gave prophecy over Judah regarding the scepter: It is a prophecy of the coming of Shiloh, that is, the one whose right it is to reign!
It is of Shiloh, who describes and is Yeshua Ha Massiach, Jesus Christ our LORD! The Sceptre-this is the emblematic staff, the power of authority, the one whose right it is has this Sceptre which will not depart from Judah, this one will be a lawgiver. Jesus Was born of the tribe of Judah [Rev 5:5] and he fulfilled the law and the prophets [Mtt 5:17]. His reign will be one of justice and law!

Shiloh, the One Whose Right it is to Reign
~~~~~~~
Jacob prophesies of the Sceptre not departing from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come, it will be unto this one, whose right it is to hold this rule, yea to him shall the people be gathered!

Shiloh-Ancient Jewish authorities understood shiloh to be from shel and loh, meaning to whom it bleongs. It can be expressed by the English phrases to whom dominion belongs, and whose is the kingdom, he whose right it is to reign

Genesis 49:10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Ezekiel says of this that the Lord God will remove the diadem and take off the crown from the heads of those who rule, it is he, the Lord God who will overturn, overturn it and it shall be no more until he come whose right it is, and I will give it to him!

The wicked princes of Israel failed and turned from the LORD God, but there is coming one whose right it is to reign, prophesied, therefore the diadem and crown comes off, judgment was set, and the kingdom overturned. So too, in the end all nations will be overturned and in the final course, there shall stand one, whose right it is to reign.

Ezekiel 21:24  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
25  And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,
Ezekiel 21:26  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.
27  I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

The Lawgiver from Judah!

Matthew 5:17  ¶Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

John 1:45  Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Jesus he who was dead and now is alive! Shiloh has conquered, the Sceptre is now his!

And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not;

The Son of Man, Jesus Christ, Shiloh, he is the one to whom the right is given to rule [sceptre] and dominion is given to him.

Daniel in a vision saw one, the Son of Man, come in t he clouds of heaven unto the Ancient of Days, brought near before him. Unto this one was given dominion, glory, and a kingdom, where all people, nations, and languages would serve him, his dominion is an everlasting dominion! It shall not pass away and his kingdom not destroyed!

Daniel 7:13  I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14  And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:17
These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

Daniel 7:18
But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

Daniel 7:19
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:10  He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelation 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The Word says certain things apply to the saints here:
-overcame by the blood of the Lamb
-overcame by the word of their testimony
-love not their lives to the death
-keep the commandments of God
-have the testimony of Jesus Christ
-Have the Faith of Jesus Christ
-The have patience and faith, enduring to the end, knowing captivity leadeth to captivity, he that killeth with the sword will be killed by the sword!

The Elect, the saints, time will be shortened

Remember these are the elect:
Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:10  He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelation 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The Word says certain things apply to the saints here:
-overcame by the blood of the Lamb
-overcame by the word of their testimony
-love not their lives to the death
-keep the commandments of God
-have the testimony of Jesus Christ
-Have the Faith of Jesus Christ
-The have patience and faith, enduring to the end, knowing captivity leadeth to captivity, he that killeth with the sword will be killed by the sword!

Revelation 7:3  Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Mark 13:20  And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Jesus Christ is going to return to sit upon the Throne of David

1 Kings 9:5  Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

2 Chronicles 7:18  Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

Luke 1:32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

It is here we find Jacobs words and the prophets literally fufilled as Jesus Christ takes up the ‘literal’ throne of David and rules and reigns from Jerusalem!
Gen 49:10 ‘Till Shiloh comes!

Shiloh-the one whose right it is to reign
Sceptre-the power and authority to reign
Lawgiver-will keep justice and law in the earth
Judah-he is the one from Juda, the ‘Lion of the tribe of Juda’ who will reign!

Genesis 49:10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Unto this one who rules, all people shall be gathered!

7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

8  But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

3  And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4  But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

Zechariah 14:16  ¶And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
