Losing Our Mooring
Mooring: type of fastening, fixing, secure, made secure by lines, ropes, or cables, usually in a dock
A ship at sea can be tossed to and fro and even sunk to depths. A ship, can though, be harbored in a safe port, sheltered from the storm. The church, believers, and all who claim faith in our LORD Yeshua, Jesus Christ, have been in a ship or a fleet of ships, all of which have lost their mooring.
The nation we live in has lost it’s mooring’s! Now today, we are adrift in a sea of filth, vanity, lies, and the greed of Baalim. Do we need an Ass to tell us like Baalim, that the LORD is in Charge and we have lost our way?
Example Number ONE Baalim’s Ass:
Lesson: God speaks and only the Ass can hear!
Lesson: God moves and only the Ass can see it!
Lesson: God moves even though you cannot see or hear it, in the end, his will be done!
Numbers 22:22 ¶And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.

The House of Representatives met at 12 O’clock noon.
The Chaplain, Rev. James Shera Montgomercy, D.D., offered the following prayer:
Most gracious Lord of mankind, Thou wert our fathers God. In Thee they trusted adn were never put to shame. In darkness Thou didst give them light, in danger succor, and in perplexity guidance. Oh, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Today we seek to do homage to it because of its ideals. Our soil bears the footprints of the glorious company of apostles of liberty and humanity. They closed old epochs and ushered in new ones by declaring the rights of god and man; may we ever love their labors with the breath of life. O breathe upon this great people the same wisdom, the same sacrificial devotion, and the same ambition for the highest treasures which bring in their train all earthly good. We love and cherish our homeland and rejoice that Thy merciful providence we were reared beneath its benignant skies. Grant, blessed Lord, that a fervent and unwearied love of country may be so strong that tyrants and their cohorts may never be able to loosen the fireproof foundations of our democracy. Preserve us from all revolutionary passions and the rolling tides of war; continue to be the anchor of our nations thougths and the guardian of its soul. Thine shall be the praise forever. Her mooring’s have been removed, the ship has moved and is now on the open sea’s, hurled to and fro by the tempest and storm!
1. Firm Counsel, blessings, and Sure is the Nation whose God is the LORD!
Psalms 33:10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 ¶Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Even though America was not a Theocracy, she was a constitutional republic and her moorings were firm in the LORD, in the beginning. Over the years, thieves, liars, and scuttle bosses have tried to sink the ship. They have loosed her ropes, and brought her out of the harbor by night.
2. She has gone through the ‘Gates of Death’, Pride, Stubbornness, and Rebellion!
The Wicked!
Psalms 9:16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
The Pride!
Proverbs 16:17 ¶The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18 ¶Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
The Rebellion! Ex. Of Saul!
1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
B. The Ship of the Laodacian’s
Although we used the ‘Laodacian here, the name is not important, because there are many other types in this land and around the world. The main church type for these days in America and many other lands as ours: UK, E.U. ect is Laodacian. However, we must see the ‘Ship of Faith that has loosed her moorings’ and is ‘adrift’ in a ‘tempestous sea’. Soon the seas will see a truly harsh storm, the ‘storm of the LORD’ which will sink any Ship not rooted and grounded in the ONE TRUE God, Adonai, our Father and his Son Yeshua, Jesus Christ our LORD!
The church, itself tossed in the sea, as teachers enter in with heresy!
Jesus in Matt 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13, warned repeatedly of deception, delusion, and those who would bring in such things, false teachers, false prophets, false christs.
‘Common Salvation, Contending for the Faith’
contend: engage in a struggle, from latin, tendere, ‘stretch, strive’
Jude 1:3
¶Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
‘Lasciviousness, denying only LORD God and our LORD Jesus Christ’
Lascivious-overt or offensive sexual desire, from latin, lustfulness!

Our Testimony:
1 John 4:14 ¶And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world
Jude 1:4
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
The example of such rebellion: Israel, Angels, Sodom and Gomorrah
Jude 1:5
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
Jude 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Jude 1:7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
These who distort the truth, are called here ‘filthy dreamers, why?
They defile the flesh!
The rebel at God given authority!
They attack that which is holy without regard!
They do not understand the basics of Truth!
Yet they teach, following only what they know as brute beasts, natural men and women!
Not spiritually discerned or truly born again, sons of God!
They have and do corrupt themselves before God!
They follow after greed, using as Baalim, profit and money while distorting the truth!
These are
murmurers: subdued complaint
complainers: express dissatisfaction or annoyance
walking after their own lusts
mouths speaking great swelling words:
giving admiration to persons they come into contact with for pure profit motives
Simply, they do not like the truth of the Gospel, nor the LORD, nor his teachings. They want to walk in their own natural way, adhering to the appetites of the brute beast of men and women!
They cannot and do not spiritually discern!
Jude 1:8
¶Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Jude 1:10
But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
Jude 1:11
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Jude 1:16
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
These people are in fact the reason the ship has loosed it’s moorings and is adrift, laodacian, and facing judgment!
Even though they are as ‘natural brute beasts’, minding things of the flesh, yet they find their way into the midst of the true disciples:
They bring with them a boldness in their lusts, not fearful, but proud
They appear, may look good, sound good, give out assurances and commendations to you, but all they do is for profit.
These are as clouds who like they will bring refreshing rains, both the former and later, but in fact they bring nothing!
They are as clouds without water, useless
They are carried about as winds, from one doctrine, teaching, and desire to another
All rooted in the flesh
They are tree’s whose spiritual fruit has withered, even though they may have disciples, these are withered fruit, developing a natural brute beast religion that is offensive to God!
In fact these are without fruit, twice dead, plucked up, the Glory of God has departed, it is Ichabod!
These are as the raging waves of the sea
As they talk and seduce, they foam out the shame they cling too
As wandering stars, no stability, they may shine, but to no spiritual good, they are as a false light who appears as a minister of light!
These are reserved for the blackness of outer darkness and judgment of God! They are doomed!
Jude 1:12
These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Jude 1:13
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
It is to this loose ship, and this world that the LORD is coming with his saints!
Executing judgment upon all
Convincing and revealing what is really acceptable unto the LORD God
By his presence he will convince them of their ways
By his presence he will bring to them the evidence of their wickedness, ungodly deeds, hard speeches, that which ungodly sinners spoke against him, vengeance will be the LORD’S!
These are the mockers the Apostles told us would come
These would walk in their own ungodly lusts
They will be destroyed as natural brute beasts who understand not
For these spoke evil of the things they understood not, walking in their own corruption
Jude 1:14
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Jude 1:15
¶To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Jude 1:17
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
2 Peter 2:12
But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
The Apostle Peter adds to the description Jude gave!
A Sea of Vain Words, amidst a Tempest of Wantonness
Peter adds to what Jude said about the False teachers, prophets, and others who were going against the foundation laid by the LORD Himself!
Damnable heresies
Deny LORD
Causing swift destruction for such lies!
Many will follow them
The way of truth will be evil
They will be covetous, using feigned words, i.e. pretend to be affected by [from latin, mold or contrive], and will make merchandise of you, i.e. using these false or pretend state or contrivances will become a ‘merchant’, promoting the sale, to obtain money to fill their covetous ways! Remember Baalim, money for profit, or profiting by being a prophet!

2 Peter 2:1-3
¶But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 ¶And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
As with Jude, Peter speaks that these shall receive the reward of unrightousness
They riot in the day, i.e. do at they please regarding their lusts
They parade or sport themselves in your presence as they enjoy your own feasts with you [your activities for the LORD]
They have eyes of adultery
They cannot cease from sin, why? Because they do not have the power too quit! They ignored and continue on in rebellion, pleasure, and riot! Serving the flesh, not the spirit!
They will beguile, i.e. charm, enchant, or trick; unstable souls-those prone to change or collapse, people who always move from this teacher or that, from this latest gimmic or that one! Their ship is not moored fast the ship of Faith in the LORD!
They have forsaken the right way, so don’t be surprise if they don’t follow it!
They as Baalim, love the wages of unrighteousness!
They tell people with great sounding words that pull at the flesh, the vanity of men!
Alluring through lusts of the flesh the desires of the flesh and of the mind, earthly things
Through wantonness, i.e. ‘Rebellious, lacking discipline’, appealing to those who have just or just escaping the worlds pull, those who are new to the faith, and are just putting away the flesh and are overcoming, these pull these unstable souls away to perdition!
No matter what they promise, they are slaves of corruption themselves!
Then here is the warning, coming to the knowledge of the LORD and then turning away from him, the end is much worse than before!
2 Peter 2:13
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
2 Peter 2:14
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
2 Peter 2:15
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
2 Peter 2:16
But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
2 Peter 2:17
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
2 Peter 2:18
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
The Ship of Faith and Son ship in Christ Jesus: Rooted and Grounded
No longer ships tossed!
The Lord came and established apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers!
Yet in this, since the coming of the LORD to bring to us the ‘blood of the covenant’, many have swayed from the moorings of the original faith and teachings of the Apostles!
The work:
But we the work of the ministry
The purpose:
The perfecting of the saints
The edifying of the body of Christ
The length:
Till we all come to the unity of the faith
Till we all come to the unity of the knowledge of the Son of God
Till we come to the perfect man
Till we come to the measure of the fulness of Christ
What is that measure of the fulness of Christ!
Speaking the truth in Love, growing up in Christ
Grasping the vision of the Whole Body of Christ
Not walking as other Gentiles
What is Not walking as other Gentiles
Gentiles who walk daily in the vanity of their mind
With their understanding darkened
Being alienated from the life of God through ignorance that is in them
Because of the blindness of their heart
Having given themselves over to lasciviousness
Working all uncleanness with greediness.
Ephesians 4:10

The Storm of the LORD!
Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
Isaiah 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
Isaiah 30:30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
Nahum 1:2
¶God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

Safe Harbour: Ship of Faith, rooted, grounded, and in the harbour of the LORD, the mooring ropes are tied securely to the saviour, the covenant keeper, the ‘blood of the covenant’, walking in his commandments!
Example of the Apostle Paul and the Ship at Sea!
The crew, and all with Paul had to follow what the LORD had commanded Paul to survive at sea and not die. Rule for us, follow his word, his commandments, and his revelation on matters coming!
Acts 27:30
And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
Acts 27:31
Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
Acts 27:37
And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.
Acts 27:38
And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
Acts 27:39
And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.
Acts 27:41
And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
Acts 27:44
And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
The Horrible Tempest
The Horrible Tempest is coming, but the righteous LORD loves the righteous!
We are in the end, the times of trouble, snare, sorrows, and jacobs trouble, but if we are in safe harbour in the LORD and moored tightly with the mooring lines of faith and in his word, we shall stay moored to his side, safely!
Psalms 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Escaping, Wanting to Find Rest
Do you ever want to escape the windy storm and tempest of society and the world?
The battle can be harsh and cause us to want to escape it all, David had this urge! Here is a portion of scripture that speaks to all of us. In the battle, let us not take the eyes and heart off of the LORD!
Psalms 55:6
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
Psalms 55:7
Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
Psalms 55:8
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
Psalms 55:9
¶Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Psalms 55:10
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
Psalms 55:11
Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
Psalms 55:12
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

When times are trying, go to the LORD, but do not be as an un moored ship of faith, bouncing around on the sea. A double minded man here, is one who wavers between faith and doubt continually, between flesh and spirit, and between commitment and going his own way!
James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Zion, Jerusalem, Was tossed as a ship in the sea!
Another example is Israel, who God did indeed send a tempest, a storm, and a sea of trouble upon. All for their pride, sin, and rebellion! Yet in this portion, the LORD acknowledges them as Tossed in this tempest and not comforted, yet this passage is about reconcilliation, restoration, and the fulfillment of Zion, this is a future millenial prophecy where both Jew and Gentile, male, and female will be all one in our LORD Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach.
Isaiah 54:11
¶O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
Isaiah 54:12
And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
Isaiah 54:14
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
Isaiah 54:16
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Revelation 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
